Paola Maradei Meijia is in her first season with the Oberlin volleyball team during the 2025-26 year.
Prior to joining Oberlin, Maradei Mejia was a graduate assistant coach for West Virginia State University's Division II program. While Maradei Mejia was on their coaching staff in 2023 and 2024, the Yellow Jackets earned two regular-season Mountain East Conference (MEC) titles and reached the finals of the conference tournament twice. The team fell one step short of a postseason conference title in 2023, but avenged the loss in 2024 to become MEC champions for the first time in program history.
A former NCAA Division I student-athlete at Norfolk State University, Maradei Mejia ranked eighth and sixth in blocks per set in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in her junior and senior years, respectively. The Brazil native was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all four semesters at Norfolk State. Prior to Norfolk, Maradei Mejia spent two successful academic and athletic years at Trinidad State Junior College.
Maradei Mejia graduated with her bachelor's degree from Norfolk State in 2022 before completing her master's degree in sport studies from West Virginia State in 2025.
