Jillian Roberts enters her fourth season as an assistant track and field coach for throws in 2025-26.
In her first season with Oberlin throwers, she guided senior Iyanna Lewis to a pair of North Coast Athletic Conference championships in the hammer and weight throw, along with All-Region honors in the weight throw and a national championship appearance in the weight throw. Additionally, she mentored junior Abby Cannon to All-NCAC laurels in the hammer, weight throw, and discus, with Cannon claiming all-region accolades in the weight.
At the 2024 NCAC Indoor Championships, Roberts guided Hayden Hill to the Pentathlon crown and mentored Isaiah Schuham-Anders to an All-Conference finish in weight throw. During the outdoor season, senior Abby Cannon claimed NCAC Championships in hammer and discus, leading to her recognition as the 2024 NCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Year. Cannon earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the weight throw.
Roberts came to Oberlin after a short stint at Kenyon College, where she mentored the 2022 NCAC Indoor and Outdoor Shot Put Champion and a pair of USTFCCCA All-Great Lakes Region Honorees. Before her time with the Owls, Roberts excelled as a throws athlete at Baldwin Wallace. A 2020 All-American in the shot put, she also earned multiple USTFCCCA Region Honors and Ohio Athletic Conference honors in 2017, 2018, and 2020.
The USTFCCCA and OAC Academic Honoree graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Baldwin Wallace in 2020 and completed a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in strength & conditioning from her alma mater in 2025.
Roberts holds a variety of track and field certifications, namely her USATF Level 1 Certification and USTFCCCA Throwing Event Specialist Certification.
