Jill Rondini

Jill Rondini enters her 22nd year with Oberlin after joining the Sports Medicine Department in 2004 and being promoted to Director of Sports Medicine in July of 2018. She is directly responsible for managing the training staff that consists of three full-time employees and student workers.
 
Previously, she served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Charles F. Brush High School in Lyndhurst, Ohio while employed by University Suburban Sport Medicine Center. Rondini began her career as a graduate assistant at Cleveland State University where she worked with men's soccer, wrestling and the baseball team.
 
Currently, Rondini has primary responsibility for the care of the men's soccer and men’s lacrosse teams. Rondini also works closely with University Hospitals to provide the best care to all Oberlin's student-athletes.
 
She received her bachelor's degree of science in athletic training from Valparaiso University in 2000, her master's degree of education in sport psychology from Cleveland State University in 2002 and completed her certificate program in massage therapy from Cuyahoga Community College in 2010. She has also been trained and certified in Graston Technique, Myofascial Decompression, and Dry Needling.
 
Outside of her duties with Oberlin College, she is passionate about serving others, especially in her church where she is the short term missions coordinator. While serving in this capacity, she was invited to share her sports medicine knowledge in El Salvador. She continues to assist local sports leaders in training medical personnel and coaches to work with national and local athletic teams in multiple sports, focusing on emergency preparedness and response, as well as general management of athletic injuries.
