Erin Gordon

Erin Gordon joined the Oberlin College Sports Medicine team in July 2024. Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training with a minor in Nutrition from Otterbein University in 2021.

After graduation, she chose to further her education by entering a post-professional athletic training residency specializing in pediatric sports medicine with Ohio University and OhioHealth Sports Medicine. The residency allowed her to work as a certified athletic trainer in the Worthington Local School District while also taking post-graduate courses (2021-2022). Gordon boasts additional experience providing coverage to a variety of events including the Arnold Classic Sports Festival competitions, full and half marathons, and several youth sports tournaments. 

Shortly after completing the residency program, Gordon completed a Master in Science in Kinesiology and an Athletic Training concentration from Georgia Southern in 2024. At Georgia Southern she had the opportunity to work as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with her primary responsibilities of covering Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field, Women’s Swimming & Diving, All-Girl Cheerleading, and Football. 

In addition to her post-graduate studies, Erin earned several certifications including Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS), Dry Needling, and Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid.
