Erin Gordon

Erin Gordon enters her second year with the Oberlin College Sports Medicine team after joining the Crimson and Gold in July 2024.

At Oberlin, Gordon primarily provides coverage of the women's soccer, men's basketball, and women's lacrosse teams.

Prior to Oberlin, Gordon served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for two years at Georgia Southern. During her time with the Eagles, Gordon primarily worked with Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field, Women’s Swimming & Diving, All-Girl Cheerleading, and Football. 

Before Georgia Southern, Gordon entered a post-professional athletic training residency specializing in pediatric sports medicine with Ohio University and OhioHealth Sports Medicine. The residency allowed her to work as a certified athletic trainer in the Worthington Local School District while also taking post-graduate courses (2021-2022). Gordon boasts additional experience providing coverage to a variety of events, including the Arnold Classic Sports Festival competitions, full and half marathons, and several youth sports tournaments. 

Gordon earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training with a minor in Nutrition from Otterbein University in 2021 and a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an Athletic Training concentration from Georgia Southern in 2024. In addition to her post-graduate studies, Gordon earned several certifications, including Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS), Dry Needling, and Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid.
