Coy Vantilburg

Coy Vantilburg enters his fourth season with the Oberlin College men's basketball team during the 2026-27 year. Vantilburg began volunteering as a coach for the Yeomen in Fall 2023 before being promoted to the full-time Assistant Men's Basketball Coach during Summer 2026. 

While on staff, the Crimson and Gold have made three North Coast Athletic Conference tournaments, won 40 games, and earned five All-Conference nods, including the 2023 Newcomer of the Year JJ Gray.
  
Prior to Oberlin, Vantilburg spent a season with Youngstown East High School in Youngstown, Ohio as the Varsity Assistant Coach. He helped the Golden Bears to their best record in seven seasons and led and executed skills and player development programming. Additionally, he was a Midwest Region Scout for Hillcrest Prep based in Phoenix, Arizona, and was the Co-Director for Outwork AAU in Northeast Ohio.
 
A native of Mansfield, Ohio, Vantilburg has served eight years in the United States Air Force and graduated with his Bachelor of General Studies from Youngstown State University in 2025.
