Bernadette Forbush

Bernadette Forbush enters her first year at Oberlin College in August 2024 as the Head of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports. Her primary responsibilities include basketball, softball, baseball, lacrosse, tennis, volleyball, field hockey, soccer, and swimming and diving.

Forbush comes to Oberlin after a stint at Louisiana Tech University, where she worked as the Assistant Sports Performance Coach from January 2023 to May 2024. At LTU, Forbush worked with women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, and men’s golf. Prior to her time with the Bulldogs, Forbush worked with the cheer and dance squads at South Dakota State University as a Graduate Intern.

Outside collegiate athletics, Forbush interned at Brookings High School in South Dakota. Her primary sports at BHS were football, volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, dance, cheer, basketball, and cross country.

Forbush earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Fitness Management from Augustana University in May 2021, followed by a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Nutrition from South Dakota State University in August 2023. Since completing her graduate studies, Forbush has expanded her education with several certifications in CSCS, USAW Level2, and Microdosing specialties.

Bernadette resides in Elyria with her boyfriend, three cats, and a dog.
