Andrew Brabson

Andrew Brabson enters his sixth season as the head coach for Oberlin's men's and women's swimming and diving program in 2018-19.

In his five years, Brabson has rejuvenated the program to levels of success that have not been achieved in decades. The 2015 NCAC Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year, Brabson led the Yeowomen to their highest finish of all-time at the NCAC Championship meet as the Yeowomen placed fourth overall in the best swimming conference in the country.

- Teams have broken 32 school records and have achieved six NCAA ‘B’ cuts over the last four seasons
- Led the men’s and women’s teams to CSCAA All-Academic status in every season with Vera Hutchison, Nora Cooper, and Maddie Prangley earning individual honorable-mention CSCAA Scholar All-America status during his tenure
- Led the Yeowomen to 19 dual meet victories in the last five seasons (4-0/2013-14), (6-1/2014-15), (5-2/2015-16), 3-4/2016-17)
- In 2013-14 the Yeomen had their highest finish at the NCAC Championship meet since 1998, placing fifth overall
- Was the assistant coach at Hood College (MD) from 2010-2013, helping the Blazers established 23 new school records at the 2013 Middle Atlantic Conference Championship meet
- Standout swimmer at Denison University from 2007-2010. A two-time Honorable-Mention All-American, Brabson earned All-NCAC honors in the breaststroke in 2009.
- A former team captain, Brabson was named as Denison’s freshman of the year in 2007.
- An active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Brabson graduated with a degree in communications from Denison in 2010
