Abigail Yunker

Abigail Yunker enters her first year on the sideline with the Oberlin College women's basketball team in 2025-26 after starting in June 2025.

Yunker joined Oberlin after playing professional basketball for the Cardiff Met Archers in Super League Basketball. In one of the top basketball leagues in the United Kingdom, Yunker continued to dominate the court, averaging 9.6 points per game, 3.5 assists per game, and 4.3 rebounds per game.  Currently, Yunker leads the Met Archers in assists after finishing in the top two in the previous season. Last season, Yunker finished in the top eight in the league for steals.

Beyond her playing career, Yunker served the last three years as both a Head Coach and Camp Director for U18 basketball in the Cardiff area.

An Ohio native, Yunker is more than familiar with the North Coast, playing five years for the Wittenberg Tigers. An offensive threat on the court, Yunker started all but two games in her final three years. The guard averaged 9.1 points per game and helped lead the Tigers to the NCAC title game in three of their four tournament appearances. Yunker capped her career with a nod on the 2022 NCAC All-Tournament team after leading the Tigers to a victory in the NCAC Championship. This marked Wittenberg's first conference tournament crown in six years.

Yunker graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from Wittenberg in 2022 before completing her master's in sport coaching from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2025.
