Assistant Olivia Wulfhoop enters her fourth season as the Yeowomen's pitching coach in 2020.
Prior to her arrival, Oberlin had a team ERA of 7.40 in 2016, but Wulfhoop has drastically lowered that number over the last two season as the Yeowomen posted a 5.28 ERA in 2017 followed by a 4.79 mark in 2018, which saw her mentor first-year pitcher Emily Tucci to five wins.
A graduate of nearby, Wellington High School, Wulfhoop attended Cleveland State University. Majoring in sports management with a minor in marketing, Wulfhoop completed her undergraduate work in August of 2016.
While at Wellington H.S., Wulfhoop was a decorated softball player, being named All-Patriot Athletic Conference three times including first-team honors in 2012. The Wellington native also earned all-Lorain County laurels three times and garnered All-Ohio accolades in her senior year. She served as a team captain as a junior and senior and still owns the record for single-season home runs with 11.
At CSU, Wulfhoop was a walk on to the softball team, serving as a utility player for the Vikings. In her final year at Cleveland State, Wulfhoop stepped on as an assistant varsity coach at Black River High School. In the summer months, Wulfhoop works with the Cleveland Baseball Federation in conjunction with Major League Baseball to help develop baseball and softball at the youth level in the Greater Cleveland area.
