Oberlin College Athletics

Todd Houston has been involved in varying aspects of consulting and service solutions related to healthcare for the past 26 years.  The solutions have focused on improving utilization of new technology to enhance current processes and bring efficiencies to hospital departments, transitioning hospital departments and physician practices to EMR platforms, and working with Benefit Consultants to deliver meaningful self-funded solutions to their clients.

Todd was employed at Commerce Benefits Group beginning in January 2007 and transitioned to HealthSmart when they acquired CBG in July 2014.  He has been involved in creating cost containment solutions for employers that have included creating a Lab and Imaging PPO and growing a self-funded book of business by working with brokers on a national scale.  Todd started his own third-party administration firm in 2015 and has grown to 45 employees.  The company, Performance Health is headquartered in Avon Lake, Ohio with offices in Davenport, IA, Atlanta, GA and Memphis, TN.

He graduated from Oberlin College in 1992 with a Degree in Economics and has an MBA from Cleveland State University. While at Oberlin College he was a two-sport varsity athlete competing on the Football and Lacrosse Teams.  He served as President of the Heisman Club from 2000 – 2003.  Todd married Thomasina Patton in 1993. Thomasina works as a Special Education teacher.  He has 3 children, Alex age 23 and twin daughters, Madison and Elizabeth age 21.
