Oberlin College Athletics

Jordan is the Survey Librarian for Archives and Special Collections at Brown University.  She stays active with running and she also enjoys reading and cheering on her Chicago sports teams.
 
Jordan’s service to the Heisman Club is a natural extension of the reasons she came to Oberlin.  She came to play sports!  The memories and friendships cemented her commitment to our mission.
 
In spite of her love for our Athletics Director, one of her fondest memories was the time the Oberlin swim team handedly whopped Baldwin Wallace.  The team had enticed half the campus to be in the stands.  The coach rewarded the team by giving them a day off.  Her teammates remain her closest friends to this day.  Three of them will be bridesmaids in Jordan’s upcoming wedding.
 
“I used to think D3 athletics wouldn't give me the same rewarding feeling as D1 would have. NOW I think that D3 athletics gave me the opportunity and freedom to discover so much more on campus, and truly helped me grow and learn more about myself as an athlete and person.
