As a Junior... Berman's season was cut short by a hamstring injury. He played in 14 games, starting 6 of them. He had 27 at bats and hit .296.

Zach will see time in the outfield, first base, and on the pitcher's mound this year.  Zach has received significant playing time the last two years.  The Yeomen hope that Zach will be an impact player in 2009.  He is a very versatile player as he offers many skills to the 2009 Yeomen Baseball squad. 

Prior to Oberlin: Zach is a 2006 graduate of Westlake High School where he was a two-year letter winner for the baseball team and Scholar Athlete.  Zach was an Honor Roll student and an AP High Scholar.  Zach played his summer ball for the local American Legion program and Cardinal Semi-Pro.  Zach was an American Legion All-Star.  In addition to baseball, Zach also played four years of hockey.

Zach was born on March 2, 1988 and is the son of Wendy and Keith Berman.  He is a double major in Bio-Chemistry and Economics.  After Oberlin, Zach plans to attend Medical School and Business School to obtain his MD and MBA.
