2008 Season Stats

PJ returns to the Yeomen as a four year starter at Third-Base, Designated-Hitter, and Pitcher. PJ is also a Co-Captain for the Yeomen. After an injury plagued 2008 campaign, the Yeomen look for PJ to return to form and become a force once again in the middle of lineup. PJ has tremendous home run potential and has nine home runs in his career thus far. The Yeomen will also look for PJ to contribute as either a Starting Pitcher or a Reliever in the back end of the Bullpen.

Prior to Oberlin:
PJ is a 2005 graduate of Admiral King High School in Lorain, Ohio. PJ was an Honor Roll student at Admiral King and was a three-year letter winner in both baseball and football.  PJ earned a Scholar Athlete Award for Varsity Football and was an All-Ohio Academic Honoree.  He was also the Captain of both the baseball and football teams.  PJ earned many awards for baseball including First Team All Lorain County, All Lake Erie League.  PJ also played in the Lorain County All-Star game and the Greater Cleveland Coaches Association All-Star baseball game.

PJ is a very active member of the community at Oberlin. He is a Peer Liaison to first-generation college students, Academic Ambassador, Resident Assistant, economics tutor, and employee in the Office of the President.

PJ was born on December 3, 1986 and is the son of Pat and Michelle Carter. PJ is a double major in Economics and Sociology. A fun fact is that PJ played High School baseball against teammate and Co-Captain Brian Verne.  After graduation, PJ plans to pursue a career in business in Northeast Ohio.
