Eric returns to the Yeomen as one of two Senior members of the pitching staff joining teammate P.J Carter. Eric is a highly talented right-handed pitcher with great mechanics. He has shown the ability to be dominant at times in his career. Eric features a hard fastball accompanied by some sharp off-speed pitches that are devastating to hitters when thrown for strikes. They Yeomen will look for Eric to be a major part of their pitching rotation this year. Eric will look to team with Jack Dunn and P.J Carter to anchor a very talented, but young pitching staff.

Prior to Oberlin: Eric is a 2005 graduate of Wilson Magnet High School in Rochester, New York. At Wilson Magnet, Eric was a four-year varsity letter winner for the baseball team. In addition to being a four-year varsity letter winner, he was on the National Honor Society and received an International Baccalaureate Program Diploma.

Eric plays the guitar and enjoys listening to the Beatles.

Eric was born on February 3, 1987 and is the son of Bill and Marie Gibbs. Eric is a Sociology major and plans on pursuing music journalism after graduation.
