Matt Wilson enters his third season as the Yeomen's catching coach.
In 2013, he guide an Oberlin backstop unit that gunned down 24 would-be base stealers, which was second best in the NCAC. The team's 10 total pickoffs were also good for second best in the conference. Primary catcher Blaise Dolcemaschio threw out 12-of-35 (34.2) runners and also accounted for seven pickoffs.
A native of Bettsville, Ohio, Wilson played for years of collegiate baseball at NCAA Division III Otterbein University. During his time the Cardinals won the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship and were also ranked No. 1 in the country.
After his four years of eligibility, Wilson was invited back to coach with the Cardinals for a season as he finished his bachelor's degree in education in 2011.
