Adrian Abrahamowicz

Adrian Abrahamowicz enters his 11th season as the Yeomen skipper in 2021 and his 17th season as a member of the Oberlin College coaching staff.
 
During his time with the program, Abrahamowicz has made Oberlin baseball a perennial contender in the highly competitive North Coast Athletic Conference. He led his 2015 squad to its first-ever NCAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance where they won three games at the NCAA Division III Regional.

  • In 2019, catcher Brendan Mapes set the single-season hits record (63) and was named Second-Team All-Region by ABCA & D3baseball.com
  • Coached Oberlin to school-bests in overall wins (23) and conference wins (12) in 2017
  • Six players earned All-NCAC honors in 2017, including first-team selections Brian Carney and Mapes, each of whom also earned all-region honors
  • Has led the Yeomen to the four-team NCAC Tournament three times (2013, 2015, 2017) with 2013 being the program’s first-ever NCAC Tournament appearance, earning him NCAC Coach of the Year honors
  • Mentored eight All-Region Players during his tenure
  • Only coach in school history to reach 20-win plateau mark in a season (2013, 2015, 2017)
  • Six seasons with 17 or more wins (2012-15, 2017, 2019)
  • Coached former minor league pitcher Phil Brua (2008-11), who spent two seasons in Toronto Blue Jays organization
  • CEO and Coach of the Lake Erie Warhawks summer program
  • A pitcher at Tiffin University, Abrahamowicz graduated with a bachelor’s degree in justice administration in 1998.
