(2009): As a freshman.... Brad appeared in 18 games and made 3 starts at second base. He made appearances as a pinch hitter, pinch runner, and a defensive replacement. Brad hit .231, scored 5 runs, and had 2 stolen bases.

Prior to Oberlin: Brad is a 2008 graduate of Andover High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Brad was a three-year letter winner at Andover and was a Scholar Athlete. He earned All-Conference honors and Honorable Mention All-Area. Brad was also the team Captain his Senior season. In the summer, Brad played for the Michigan Renegades.

Brad enjoys reading in his spare time and is a big Detroit Tigers fan. He is also interested in environmental issues. Brad emulates his game after Tigers Second Baseman Placido Polanco.

Brad was born on August 10, 1990 and is the son of Steve and Saree Hantler. Brad is a prospective Politics major.
