Chip Return
We are using reusable shoe chips - one chip per runner. Teams will be issued a box containing all the shoe chips for their entered athletes during packet pick-up. Teams must collect all their chips at the conclusion of the meet and return them to the packet pick-up table in the box that was issued. Teams will be billed for missing chips.
The Course
Consisting mainly of two large loops, half the course is on grass around the perimeter of athletic fields with two ~300m sections on crushed gravel and the other half the course takes place on 8-10 ft wide wood chip paths. The course is completely flat and, even on a rainy day, should run very fast. Even when wet, 1/4" to 3/8" spikes should suffice on the course.

Trainers
Our Athletic Training Room is the brick building connected to Williams Field House.
The Athletic Training Room will be open for pre-race treatment from 8:30am-10:00am. All athletic trainers will be out on the course beginning 30min prior to the start of the race.
Anyone needing treatment/taping must have a note from their athletic trainer outlining the treatment requested. It is preferred that they email it ahead of time to Christine Schwartz at cschwart@oberlin.edu. They must also provide the supplies from their medical kit. There is heat available during that time before the first race begins. No athlete will be receiving electrical stimulation or ultrasound unless their AT is present to administer the treatment.
There will be water and ice provided at the finish line. Any athlete needing ice post-race may take it from the finish line area.
There will be University Hospitals medical support stationed at that finish line as well.
If you have an athlete who usually passes out after finishing or has a syncope episode, please be at the finish line waiting for that athlete to assist the trainers.

T-Shirts will be awarded to the top-20 finishers in the Varsity races.
