The Main Draw will be completed and the FIC consolation will stop at the Finals.
  • PLAYER SELECTION AND NUMBERED ALTERNATE LIST WILL BE POSTED BY MONDAY, APRIL 29th by 6 pm and maybe sooner.  There will be NO REFUNDS once selections have been made!

SCORING
All Main Draw and Consolation matches will consist of two tie-break sets using advantage scoring with a Match tie-break (Supertiebreak) played at one set all in lieu of the third set.  Some players may be playing up to three matches in a day.  A player will be entitled to a three (3) minute break after splitting sets and before playing the match tie-break.  Coaching IS allowed during this 3 min break.

The hotel is only 20 mins from campus and adjacent to the Great Northern Mall and lots of restaurants.

PRACTICE / WARM-UP COURTS
There are four (4) indoor courts at Oberlin College (Heisman Fieldhouse) that are the exact surface as the outdoor courts and will serve as practice/warm-up courts throughout the event (assuming good weather).  There will be a sign-up sheet to reserve these courts for 1-hr blocks as you enter the courts starting Friday morning.  We will NOT take over the phone or e-mail reservations for these courts.  Please come to campus and sign-up in person.
There are also two (2) more public outdoor courts at the New Russia Township Reservation one mile north of campus at the intersection of OH-58 and Butternut Ridge Road that will also be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.  They are in very good shape and similar in court speed to the ones we have on campus.
Before the start of the tournament each day, one can use the outdoor courts at Oberlin College (the actual tournament courts) to warm-up on a first come, first serve basis.  Please be considerate to other and share courts as much as possible.  There will be 24 players with 8:30 am matches so in order to accommodate everyone you might need to share a court for warm-up!  All players doing that MUST clear the courts 15 minutes prior to the start of the matches (i.e. if matches start at 9 am that day, all practice/warm-up must be completed by 8:45 am).

INCLEMENT WEATHER
The aforementioned four (4) indoor courts on campus in the Heisman Fieldhouse, which is located adjacent to the outdoor courts will be used in case of inclement weather.  If needed, a secondary indoor facility 15 mins away will also be used.  The name of this facility is Fox Creek and the address is: 5445 Beavercrest Drive, Lorain, OH  44053.  The website for this facility is: www.foxcreektennis.com

FIRST ROUND REPORT TIME INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 1st at 6 pm.  Draws will be posted at the start of the tournament.
Go back to the TennisLink page of the tournament and click on the “Future Match Info Report” to find out your first match time as well as your win/loss time. Players from the same district will not play each other first round unless an alternate fills a spot or more than half the draw is from the same district.
