Don Hunsinger served as the men's head coach for 18 seasons and was the women's head coach, a position he held since 1996. He was named 2004 NCAC Coach of the Year for guiding the Oberlin men to a third-place finish at the conference tournament. Hunsinger has been a fixture with Oberlin athletics for more than two decades. He served as the director of athletics for five years, has headed up the football and baseball programs, assisted with both men's and women's basketball at Oberlin, and before his retirement, Don Hunsinger was named Oberlin's director of tennis in 2006

Hunsinger's Coach of the Year award in 2004 was his fourth such honor with the Oberlin tennis program. He won the NCAC's top honor for both the men's and women's teams in 1989 and won the women's award again in 1997.

The Don Hunsinger courts feature 12 courts with fan viewing areas on each.  In 2010, the courts were the home to the NCAA Men's Tennis National Championships.
