(2010): Saw action in 23 games, while starting in 14 … Posted a batting average of .289, slugging percentage of .378, and on-base percentage of .360 … Raised level of play to hit .316 in 11 games in conference play … Made first career start as a catcher at Baldwin-Wallace (4/22/10) … Finished the season riding a season-high three-game hitting streak.
(2009): As a sophmore.... Pat played in 22 games, starting 6 of them. He saw significant time as a pinch runner and a defensive replacement. Pat had 5 hits, scored 7 runs, and tallied at .982 fielding percentage.
Pat returns to the Yeomen looking to gain significant playing time in the middle infield. Pat was a solid contributor in his first season with the Yeomen and is looked at as a consummate team player. Against Kenyon last season, Pat delivered his best performance, tallying 3 hits and the game winning walk-off RBI single.
Prior to Oberlin: Pat is a 2007 graduate of Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, Illinois. Pat was a four year member of the Honor Roll at Mount Carmel. On the baseball diamond, Pat was a two-year letter winner for the baseball team which had a combined record of 61-17 in that time span. Pat was also a four-year letter winner for the Cross-Country team and served as a Co-Captain his Senior year.
Pat received the Posse Foundation Full-Tuition Leadership Scholarship to Oberlin. Pat tutors fifth graders in Mathematics at Prospect Elementary School in Oberlin, Ohio with nine of his teammates. In addition, this fall, Pat accompanied teammates Jeremy Simon and Brian Verne on a Hurricane Relief trip to Mississippi and New Orleans. Pat is also the President & Founder of Caravan Outreach and Aid To the Elderly (C.O.A.T.E.)
Pat was born on May 28, 1989 and is the son of Kevin and Mary Anne Bourke. Pat is an avid Chicago White Sox fan and intends to major in African American Studies.
