Westlake, Ohio – For the second year in a row, Oberlin College softball junior Hailey Alspach has earned a spot on the North Coast Athletic Conference Second-Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

A junior standout for the Crimson and Gold, Alspach led the team in the circle with a 3.33 ERA and 98.2 innings pitched, ranking top five in the NCAC in both categories.

Against Hiram on April 4, she became the program's all-time strikeout leader with 183 Ks, surpassing Emily King's 182. Alspach finished the season with 69 total, ranking fifth all-time in single-season strikeouts. The third-year hurler sits at 205 overall with another full season ahead of her.

Hailey has done a ton for us this season." Head Coach Julie Pratt continues on her standout athletes, "She's played first base, second base, outfield, and has been our starting pitcher for most of the season. That on top of being a leadoff and stolen base threat in every game. This is very well-deserved!"

While Oberlin says goodbye to a pair of graduating seniors, the two-time All-NCAC athlete returns for her senior season, along with a plethora of talent and experience.

Fans can keep up with their favorite teams on Instagram, Facebook, X, or TikTok, and watch all the home matches live online. The Crimson and Gold's home broadcasts can be accessed on TV through the official Oberlin College Sports Network app on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
