Berea, Ohio - The Oberlin College baseball team dropped their midweek matchup against the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets 24-3 on Monday.
In a game that did not feature many highlights, there were some bright spots for the Yeomen.
Freshman infielder
Matthew Ruttkay went 2-2 with a walk on the day, it was the second multi-hit game of his young career.
Sophomore
Kyle Baxt laced a double in the top of the first, boosting his team-leading hit total to 41 on the season, with 12 going for extra bases.
Freshman catcher
Daniel Krabill pinch-hit in the top half of the fifth and smoked an RBI triple to right-center, scoring Ruttkay from first. It is the first triple of Krabill's career.
With the loss, the Yeomen fall to 10-21 while Baldwin Wallace moves to 20-12 on the season.
The Yeomen will look to rebound this Wednesday, April 23, at home against Heidelberg University. First pitch at Dill Field is scheduled for 4 p.m.
