Clarion, Pennsylvania – The divers of the Oberlin College swim and dive team traveled east for the Dave Hrovat Invitational, hosted by Pennsylvania Western Clarion University. Oberlin competed among some of the best DII and DIII programs in the country.
Jackson Bartlett represented the Yeomen in the men's 1-mtr and 3-mtr dive. In the 1-mtr, Barlett scored 128.5 through six dives to eighth overall. Moving on to the 3-mtr event, Barlett finished eighth among his competition with a score of 116.85.
On the women's side
Faye Huffman,
Elizabeth Huettig, and
Winnie Wood competed for Oberlin. Huffman led the Yeowomen in the 1-mtr, 11 dive event, clinching seventh with 244.35 points. Wood (212.25 points) and Huettig (193.45 points) followed just behind in 11
th and 12
th, respectively.
In the 1-mtr, six dives competition, Wood led the pack with 127.5 points to finish 12
th overall. With 121.4 points, Huffman finished next in 13
th, while Huettig grabbed 16
th with 94.55 points.
Wood capped the meet for the Crimson and Gold in the 3-mtr dive, earning eighth with 128.55 points.
The divers will join the rest of the Oberlin squad when they gear up for the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, beginning on Wednesday, February 12. The four-day competition will take place in Granville, Ohio, hosted by Denison University.
