Oberlin College is excited to announce a new partnership with FanWord, a leading storytelling company in college athletics, to launch a unique content series called "Squirrel Tales." With this collaboration, Oberlin College becomes the first North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) institution to implement FanWord's innovative storytelling software, FanWord Assist.

FanWord specializes in creating tailored storytelling solutions for athletic organizations of all sizes and currently partners with over 60 organizations across various levels of college sports, including major programs like Nebraska, Memphis, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech.

Oberlin's new content series, "Squirrel Tales," will showcase the journeys and achievements of its student-athletes, alumni, coaches, and other notable community members. 

"Celebrating the success of our student-athletes beyond the box score has long been a part of our mission," Associate Director of Athletics for Communications & Compliance Mike Mancini said. "The FanWord platform allows us to achieve those goals efficiently and innovatively while providing a holistic view of what it means to be a student-athlete at Oberlin College."

By leveraging FanWord Assist, Oberlin College will streamline the process of creating compelling storytelling content, making it more efficient for the communications and media team. Fans can stay updated on these stories by following along here. Senior men's soccer player Augie Smith is featured in the initial FanWord piece.
