Opening the NCAC matchup with a 3-pointer, Zinaich found Jefferson for the early lead. The Yeowomen kept rolling with back-to-back layups from Woodard before the team's leading scorer, Lombard, nailed a shot from behind the arc. The Crimson and Gold defense locked down on the Bishops, keeping their opponents under double digits until the final two minutes of the opening session, finished the first quarter up 23-13 after shooting 56.3% from the field, led by Jefferson with seven points.
The momentum continued into the second quarter as Lombard got comfortable from the wing, knocking down six points in 26 seconds. With the 33-18 advantage, Oberlin slowed the pace of the game holding OWU to only three points over the next five minutes. The Yeowomen got hot again with triples from Lombard and Spanier. In the last seconds of the half, Jefferson drove through her defense for a jumper to give the Yeowomen a commanding halftime lead of 43-23.
Coming out of the break, both teams struggled to create any offense until Jefferson drove for a layup at the 8:17 mark. Zinaich and Jefferson combined for the next eight points until Ohio Wesleyan's Ciera Joiner ended the run with a layup.
Jaedyn O'Reilly got into the scoring mix in the final minute as Zinaich found her under the rim for her sixth assist. The Yeowomen walked into the final quarter of action up 59-35 over the Bishops.
The Oberlin squad kept rolling as Jefferson again got the scoring started with a jump shot from the elbow. Ziniaich and O'Reilly brought down a pair of rebounds over the next several minutes to keep the Bishops off the board.
