Wooster, Ohio – As the sun dipped below the horizon in Wooster, OH, the Oberlin cross country team took their positions for the Wooster Twilight Invitational. With many young faces competing on the course, the Yeomen and Yeowomen had an impressive showing in the non-team scored meet.

On the Yeowomen's side of the race,
Ellis Santangelo paced the way for the Crimson and Gold with a time 20:15 and an 11th place finish, followed by first-year
Sophia Byers with a 16
th place finish with a time of 21:00.0. Just behind Byers were
Natalie Hickerson (21:09.6),
Isa Houle (21:10.8), and Caleigh Lyons (21:11.9) in 19-21
st place. Also finishing among the top-25 was
Lucca Abele with a time of 21:22.4

The Yeomen took the 5k course next as
Johnny Ragsdale finished in second place for Oberlin with a time of 16:12.6. Behind the young freshman was
Jerry Achtermann (16:25.0) and
Aidan Duffield (16:43.2) among the first ten finishers.
Garrett Erickson-Harris and
Owen Stuart finished right next to each other with times of 16:55.1 and 16:57.2, respectively.

Officially in the post-season, the Oberlin harriers look ahead to the NCAA Regional Championships next Saturday, November 13
th.
