Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College track & field and cross country teams completed a day of service throughout the Oberlin community on the first official day of fall.
The 72 athletes and four coaches were dispersed amongst seven job sites for three hours of community service.
The teams helped at the following locations in the area: Oberlin Heritage Center, Lorain Family Promise Day Center, Firelands Association for the Visual Arts (FAVA), Kendal at Oberlin, Western Reserve Conservancy, Oberlin Community Service and Legion Field Community Garden.
The community service done by the athletes involved yard work, organizing supplies and other varied activities.
After taking advantage of their weekend off the Oberlin College cross country teams will be back in action this Saturday at the Paul Short Invitational and All-Ohio Championships.
