Oberlin, Ohio – Senior
Natalie Rauchle surpassed 200 career points as the Oberlin College women's lacrosse team earned a 19-7 victory over the College of Wooster Fighting Scots on Saturday afternoon at the Austin E. Knowlton Athletics Complex.
Rauchle cashed in six goals in the game to run her career points total to and moved her team-leading goal total to 204 on the season. Senior
Sydney Garvis also added five goals in the win.
The Yeowomen were extremely efficient in the first half, scoring nine goals on 15 shots in the opening frame.
Rauchle started her recording-breaking day, netting the game's first goal less than two minutes into the game to get Oberlin off on the right foot. The Scots would quickly get back to even, but Oberlin would rip off six straight goals to take control of the game.
Junior
Hayley Drapkin assisted on four of the Yeowomen's first-half goals, first finding a slashing
Eliza Amber to put Oberlin back out in front 2-1. First-years
Kyra Aviles and
Tess Siciliano would also find the back of the net during the 6-0 run before Rauchle would tack on two more free-position finishes.
Ashley Boersma would get the Scots back on the board as she picked up a rebounded shot and sent it back at the 7:34 mark, but Garvis would deposit the final two goals of the period to make it 9-2 Oberlin advantage at the half.
Oberlin would score five of the first second-half goals to lead by as many as 11, but Wooster would get back to within 14-6 with three consecutive goals with just over 16 minutes left to play.
However, the Yeowomen would squash the comeback bid as they outscored the Scots 5-1 down the stretch. Rauchle netted two goals while
Sabrina Deleonibus,
Leah Crowther and Siciliano each earned tallies in the run.
Siena Marcelle played the first half between the pipes and made four saves before giving way first-year

Oberlin finished with a 27-18 adventage in shots and won the ground ball battle 15-12. The Yeowomen also led the way on the draw 14-13 with Rauchle securing six and Garvis five.
The win ran the Yeowomen's record to 2-0 in the NCAC and 6-3 overall. The Scots fell to 5-2 and 1-1 in league play.
