Oberlin College Athletics

Heisman Field House

Opened in 1991, this facility is named for Oberlin's first football coach, the famed John Heisman who inspired college football's most prestigious award, the Heisman Trophy.

The John W. Heisman Field House is located in the far west end of the Philips complex. It includes an OSSTRAX indoor track laid down in 2022 with six 200-meter lanes, eight straightaway lanes, and four standard-sized indoor tennis courts.  The track is the competition surface for the Oberlin College indoor track team, but the space is available for use by all Oberlin College students, faculty, staff and rec center members.

The tennis courts are used by the men's and women's tennis teams, and they are also available for use by all members of the facility.

Heisman Field House is also the campus home for large banquets such as the President's Breakfast during Parents' weekend and the Illuminate Capital Campaign Gala.Â
