First-year Naeisha McClain hit 44-10.25 (13.67m) to get into the finals of the shot put at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships. After two more throws, she registered a toss of 45-03.50 (13.80m) on her sixth attempt to place ninth overall after coming in as the No. 13 seed.
