Sophomore catcher Brendan Mapes hit .588 (10-17), while starting in five of the Yeomen's last six games on spring break ... In addition to hitting his first-career home run, he belted out five extra-base hits, drove in five runs and scored six ... Mapes, who is riding a 12-game hitting streak, slugged 1.059 and had an on-base percentage of .650 during the stretch of games ... Over the 10-game trip, Mapes hit .571 with 16 hits in 28 at-bats while driving in nine runs.
