Oberlin College senior Mike McDonald was named North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced on Monday evening.

The Weston, Connecticut, native has been dominant for the Yeomen thus far with 13 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched.

This past Tuesday he tossed a complete-game three-hitter in a 1-0 loss in which he fanned seven Ohio Northern hitters and faced just one more than the minimum. In that start, 62 of his 86 pitches went for strikes.

In the Yeomen's first game of spring break on Saturday he struck out the side in the seventh to preserve a 10-8 win over UW-Superior and a day later he earned a win, pitching five scoreless innings in a 12-6 win over Middlebury.

In three appearances, he is 1-1 with one save and has allowed just one run and two walks.
