Oberlin College junior Sophia Brancazio was named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Sprints/Hurdlers Runner of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
 
Brancazio, a junior from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, led the Yeowomen at the Emory Classic in Atlanta, Georgia by placing eighth in the 100-meter dash at 12.70 and ninth in the 200-meter dash in 25.91.
 
Brancazio was an All-NCAC performer in both events in 2012 and was also a part of the 4x100 relay team that won the conference title.
 
It was the first event of the outdoor season for the Yeowomen so expect to see even greater things from her and her teammates as the season progresses.
