In the first three games of the season, Josh Merrit is averaging 20.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.7 steals per game. In the Yeomen's 76-58 win over the Earlham Quakers, he had a career-high 28 points. After being more of a pass-first point guard and slasher for his first three seasons, it is clear that Merrit has put in a lot of time this past off-season to add a more consistent outside jumpshot to his arsenal. Through three games the 5-8 guard from San Francisco is 18-34 (53%) from the field 8-18 (44%) from three point range and 18-23 from the line.
