Oberlin College junior wide receiver Robin Witjes was named as the North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Sunday afternoon.

Witjes, native of Howell, Michigan, accounted for 160 total yards and two touchdowns in Oberlin’s 27-7 win over Hiram College on Saturday.

Normally a wideout, Witjes got the starting nod a quarterback as normal starter Josh Mandel was unavailable. In his expanded role that saw him do a little bit of everything, he threw for 27 yards and a score, ran for 64 yards on seven carries, and also caught three passes for 69 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown. Not to mention he also made an extra point.

Witjes helped the Yeomen total 392 yards of offense while averaging 6.5 yards per play. He and the rest of the team will take to the road for the first time all season when they travel to Wittenberg University next week.
