Michigan-based saxophonist Mattie DeDoes has two CD's to his credit, including the newly-released "Outside The Lines." His jazz-funk style is receiving airplay and a growing audience, recognized for its creativity and appeal. But the 19-year-old recording artist is also an Oberlin College student, and he wears No. 9 on the Yeomen baseball team.
DeDoes will bring a tight, entertaining show to his collegiate town of Oberlin, Ohio on the evening of Friday, June 24. The Oberlin Summer Concert Series, presented by the Oberlin Chamber of Commerce, stages outdoor musical events throughout the season. The concert stage at Tappan Square, a park central to both the town and the college, provides a great venue for summer jams.
