Seven Yeomen Earn All-NCAC Honors

Westlake, Ohio - The Oberlin College men's lacrosse team produced a school-record high of seven All-NCAC performers as announced by the North Coast Athletic Conference on Wednesday.

Fifth-year seniors Michael Muldoon and Kiernan Stone headlined the contingency as first-team honorees, while Jacob Starcke and JT Starcke took home second-team laurels. Ryan Blasberg, Max Cha, and Jonas Taylor-Lillquist were third-team selections. 

Muldoon, who was a second-team member a season ago, finished second on the squad with 52 points on 27 goals and 25 assists. The midfielder from Ridgewood, New Jersey, departs with 154 career points on 100 goals and 54 assists over 54 career games played. 

One of the greatest defensemen in school history, Stone led all non-face-off specialists with 114 ground balls and he ranked third in the league with a school-record total of 39 caused turnovers. An NCAC All-Tournament team selection, Stone's 267 ground balls are the second most in school history, trailing only fogo specialist Kinori Rosnow (479). 

J. Starcke was second in the NCAC with 53 goals, which is the third-highest single-season total in program history. The rookie from Northridge, New York, had 11 games with three or more scores en route to finishing the season with a team-high 53 points. 

His older brother, JT, picked up the first All-NCAC accolades of his career as an LSM, as he corralled 63 ground balls and caused 17 turnovers. In 47 career games, the senior has scooped up 156 ground balls and caused 53 turnovers. 

Blasberg, who was an NCAC All-Tournament team selection, finished fifth in the league with an average of 2.69 goals per game as he deposited a career-high 35 shots into the back of the net while leading the NCAC with an average of 9.62 attempts per game. The Atlanta, Georgia, native also dished out 16 assists for 51 points on the year, while ranking sixth in the conference with an average of 3.92 points per game. 

Cha, who was a third-team selection in 2022, dished out a team-high 27 assists as he ranked eighth in the NCAC with an average of 1.69 helpers per game. The Rolling Hills Estates, California, native also scored 18 times to finish fourth on the team with 45 points. In 36 career games, the senior produced 104 points on 47 goals and 57 assists. 

Taylor-Lillquist started all 16 games on the backline, causing 31 turnovers en route to finishing fifth in the NCAC with 1.94 takeaways per game. The Montclair, New Jersey, native also picked up 34 ground balls, tying for third on the team. 

The Yeomen ended the year 8-8 overall and 4-4 in the NCAC, qualifying as the No. 4 seed in the NCAC Tournament for the second year in a row.
