Oberlin sophomore
Stephen Williams headlined a day of terrific performances for both Oberlin squads. Williams won the Men's 4-mile race with a time of 21:17. Finishing just behind Williams was

David Cogswell who took fifth place in the race.
The women were nearly as impressive, notching three top-five finishes of their own and adding another top ten on the day. In the Women's 4k, senior
Clara Shaw finished second in a time of 15:14.
Nina Cole also ran smart and finished strong in a time of 16:06.
In the Women's 5k, Oberlin had two runners making their Oberlin debuts that finished just behind the leaders.
Kristina Witcher finished third with a time of 20:13, and fellow first-year
Piper Nash placed fourth, stopping the clock at 20:53.
Head Coach
Ray Appenheimer said “I was very happy with the performance of both teams even though we competed without our full squads…it was great to see our athletes do the right mental things at the right times…these will certainly pay dividends for our team later in the season as they compete at the conference, regional, and national meets.”
Oberlin will be back in action on Saturday, September 12 as they travel to Ohio Wesleyan to compete in the GLCA regional meet.
