Gambier, Ohio – Kenyon College scored eight times in the opening period to cruise past the Oberlin College men's lacrosse team 21-7 on Wednesday evening.
Nick Thypin-Bermeo and
Theo Anthony each scored twice for the Yeomen, but as a group their offense was non-effective against the high-powered Lords.
Alex Jacobs cashed in a man-up opportunity just minutes into the game to make the score 1-1, but unfortunately for the visiting Yeomen they would not find the back of the cage again till the 1:21 mark of the second quarter as the Lords led 14-2 at the break.
The Lords had 10 different players score at least once and six them had multiple goals.
OC was out-shot 48-31 and lost the ground ball fight 45-35. Kenyon won 17 face-offs, while Oberlin battled for 13 face-off wins.
The Yeomen will conclude their season on Saturday at Mt. Saint Joseph with the action set to begin at 1 p.m.
