Oberlin, Ohio –
On a day when the Oberlin College athletics department honored Bob Kahn by officially dedicating the track and field complex that bares his name with a ceremony and sign unveiling, both the women's and men's teams ran well in their preparation for next weekend's NCAC Championships.

“Although we had some good performances, the highlight of day was Bob being here and spending time with our team,” director of track and field Ray Appenheimer said. “The dedication ceremony was outstanding, and for me personally to take a lap with him around the track was truly something special.”

On the women's side, junior Clara Shaw cruised to victory in the 1,500-meter run.

Sophomore Amanda Miller also claimed the top in the 400 meters.

For the Yeomen, Ryan King placed second in the 800 meters, while Seth Wimberly and Reshard El-Shair also had strong meets.

Senior Kyle Taljan and junior Madeline Schultz will represent Oberlin at this weekend's NCAC Combined Events Championships at the Bob Kahn Track & Field Complex. Fans can access live video of the action here or by clicking the link on the calendar section of goyeo.com.
