No. 8 Kenyon Defeats Oberlin in NCAC Match

– The Oberlin College men's tennis team traveled to Kenyon College this afternoon for their final dual match of the season. The Lords, ranked 8th Nationally, upended the Yeomen 9-0 in the NCAC contest.

Oberlin was unable to find much traction to get started today. The Yeomen doubles pairings each lost by 8-2 scores.

The tough Kenyon squad has traveled the country earning a 15-7 record with a schedule that includes 16 top of the top thirty teams in the country.

At No. 1 singles Ben Godlove was up against the Central Region's fifth ranked singles player. Tomas Piskacek. The Kenyon ace took the match 6-1, 6-2.

James Blankenship was only able to muster three games against Daniel Verhave in the No. 5 slot, falling 6-2, 6-1.

Up next for Oberlin is the NCAC Tournament where they will again travel to Gambier, Ohio to challenge the tournament field. Kenyon is host the conference tournament for both the men and women's teams. The men are in action Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 while the women compete Saturday and Sunday.
