Final Results
Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin College men's tennis team was unable to hang with No. 19 Denison University this afternoon in an NCAC clash. Wet weather forced the match indoors inside John W. Heisman Field House.
The Big Red were out on top early as they would defeat all three Yeomen pairings in doubles action.
Ben Godlove and
Joe Leffler hung around and challenged Denison's top duo, eventually falling 8-5 to Tyler Cempre and Nate Hobrath.
Denison would continue to show their strength, sweeping the six singles spots. Leffler and Cempre found themselves on opposites sides of the net for the second time during the match in the No. 2 slot. Leffler would put up a fight during the first set but was not able to sustain his play, losing 6-3, 6-1.
Sam Towne battled Adam Seeley in the No. 5 position, it was close early, however Seeley proved to be too much and easily took the second set winning the match 6-3, 6-1
Oberlin is back in action this Saturday, April 18 as they travel to Gambier, Ohio to take on Kenyon College in their final regular season dual match.
