Yeomen Stopped by Mount Union Raiders

Ben Godlove returns to action vs. Mount Union
Final Results

Oberlin, Ohio – The Oberlin men's tennis team is still looking for their first win of the season as the visiting Purple Raiders of Mount Union College take home a 9-0 win this evening.

The Yeomen were hopeful that the return of junior Ben Godlove, Oberlin's top hitter, would provide the young squad the necessary boost they need to earn their first win. Godlove, who has been out of action since Oberlin's February 15th match partnered with Joe Leffler at No. 1 doubles. The duo looked as if they might be the right combination early but were bested 8-4 by Mount Union's Zach Parry and Grant Aranson.

Oberlin (0-6) had no answer for the Raiders during singles play. Mount Union (2-3) cruised to victory surrendering no more than one game in any set at all six slots.

Oberlin will look to regroup as they head to Michigan for a weekend match up with Hope College Saturday.
