Oberlin, Ohio – In their first North Coast Athletic Conference match up of the season the Oberlin College Yeomen suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hand's of Ohio Wesleyan University's Battling Bishops.
Oberlin managed to win only four games during doubles play as Ohio Wesleyan (4-2) started the match strong and did not look back earning 8-1, 8-2, and 8-1 victories.
The young Yeomen squad continued to battle this afternoon in singles action with So.
James Blankenship and Sr.
Igor Pancevski turning in the most competitive matches of day. Blakenship tested OWU's No. 3 Brandon Luttinger, who has five wins on the year, before falling 6-2, 6-2. Pancevski and the Bishop's Zach Weaver competed in No. 6 singles action with Weaver earning the win 6-2, 6-3.
Oberlin who falls to 0-5 on the year will look to bounce back quickly as they host non-conference foe Mount Union College Wednesday evening for a 6 p.m. start in John W. Heisman Field House.
