September 27 – Hiram College scored two second-half goals while Oberlin College was plagued by missed opportunities enabling the Terriers to top the Yeomen 2-1 in the NCAC opener for both schools on Saturday afternoon at Fred Shults Field.
After a scoreless first half, the Yeomen struck first just 1:30 into the second session as
Skyler Dum cashed in a cross from
David Lowe for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Nearly 10 minutes later, the Terriers tied the game when Petar Knezevic converted off of a set piece.
Oberlin continued to keep up the pressure as they triggered seven shots in the half after firing off five in the first half, but unfortunately were unable to execute.
The game winner came in the 69th minute as the Terriers benefited from as gratuitous bounce as Cole Miller's shot deflected off of an Oberlin defender before it made its way into the goal.
Oberlin had its chances in the first half, controlling the run of play in the first 45 minutes as Dum had three scoring opportunities that went awry with his first shot drawing the right post, while another two opportunities flew just over the goal.

The game was also very physical on both sides as the Yeomen checked in with 17 fouls, while the Terries got whistled nine times.
The Yeomen will look to regroup on Wednesday they travel south for a non-conference tilt at Otterbein at 4:30 p.m.
