December 2 – For the second straight year, the Oberlin College athletics department is hosting a Hawaiian Hoops Day with this year's event set to take place on Saturday, December 6 when both the men's and women's basketball teams clash with Earlham.
Fans in attendance are encouraged to bust out their flip-flops and Hawaiian shirts to show support for the Oberlin College basketball programs. The Yeowomen will first do battle against the Quakers at 1 p.m., while the Yeomen will follow at 3 p.m.
Those in attendance who wear their tropic gear will receive free Hawaiian pizza courtesy of Domino's. There will also be a special limbo contest during halftime of both games with the winners receiving an OC prize pack.
Fans should also note that the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is hosting a canned food drive during both games, so please be sure to donate to this wonderful cause that is benefiting the Oberlin Community Services organization.
