Box Score
October 29 – Junior goalkeeper
Sarah Grabinski played the best of game of her career, totaling 16 saves to secure a double overtime scoreless tie for the Oberlin College women's soccer team in its match up against Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday night.
“Sarah just played absolutely phenomenal,” head coach Kristen Hayden said. “Some of the saves she made were just amazing as she carried us on her back tonight. But I am proud of our whole team, because tying a high-caliber squad like OWU surely says a lot about the way we are capable of playing.”
The Bishops triggered 44 shots, but the OC defense would not relinquish a goal – forcing many of those attempts to come from far outside of the box.
Oberlin (3-12-2, 0-6-1 NCAC) fired off eight shots on the night with two being on goal.
Lois Immerman led the offensive attack with three attempts.
OWU (10-5-3, 4-1-2 NCAC) had an 8-1 advantage on corners, but were flagged for 11 offside violations.
The Yeowomen will conclude their season on Saturday afternoon when they play host to the Hiram College Terriers at 1 p.m.
