William W. Dipman was captain of both the baseball and football teams for the Yeomen and won three letters in basketball. In the autumn of '46 he showed that he had lost none of triple-threat ability with the pig-skin. Against Carnegie Tech (in the mud at Forbes Field), Dipman gained 76 yards on 13 carries and completed four-of-six passes for 87 yards. The following week he completed four-of-five passes against Ohio Wesleyan for 100 yards.
