Wendy Scranton Baumert is one of the best athletes in the history of the North Coast Athletic Conference. A member of the NCAC All-Decade team, Baumert was a four-year standout for the Oberlin College women’s
lacrosse team.

Baumert earned All-America honors in her rookie season on the defensive side of the ball and again as senior on offense. During her senior campaign, Baumert was also named to the Midwest National first-team and was an NCAA Division III all-star.

During her career, Baumert garnered first-team All-NCAC accolades four times and was a two-time Regional All-American. Baumert, a Scholar-Athlete Award winner from Oberlin, also spent one year playing field hockey and was a member of the swim team for one season.

Since graduation, Baumert has worked at the National Democratic Institute and is currently employed by The Barrie School as a humanities teacher developing the curriculum for the entire humanities department.
